To address VPN customer performance issues in the CME
®
New Release and Certification environments, CME is implementing the following changes to
the CME Market Data Platform, effective at day’s end June 19 in the Certification environment and
at day’s end June 20 in the New Release environment. These changes may result in configuration changes for
customer networks.
ITC 2.1 Channels
The ITC 2.1 format channels on the CME MDP (channels 3, 4, 5 and 6) will each have a
new, dedicated multicast address. These addresses are available online in the
Certification Channel Definitions
and
New Release Channel Definitions
documents.
MO Message Replay Channels Changes
The Instrument Creation (MO (em-oh)) replay channels (channels 1 and 16) will each
be assigned a new, dedicated multicast address, enabling customers to join each channel separately
via their network configuration. These channels currently share a multicast address.
VPN Customer Specifics
CME
strongly recommends
VPN customers connected to the Certification and/or New Release environments join only
one ITC 2.1 channel at a time to avoid exceeding their VPN bandwidth.
RLC production feeds in the Certification environment will be unavailable for VPN
customers, as they exceed VPN bandwidth allowances.
